Hyperhidrosis/Excessive Sweating

What is Hyperhidrosis?

Hyperhidrosis is the medical term for excessive sweating that is commonly a chronic condition. Everybody sweats, its a normal part of how our bodies regulate temperature. Hyperhidrosis is not a temporary condition. Many people who suffer from it have suffered for many years, often from childhood or sometimes from adolescence. Patients with hyperhidrosis produce an amount of sweat that far exceeds that needed to regulate body temperature.

You are not alone if your life is affected by excessive sweating. The good news is that effective treatment is available which could significantly improve your quality of life.

Treatment of Hyperhidrosis involves injecting a small amount of toxin into the underarm skin. It is a minimally invasive treatment to help patients with severe hyperhidrosis (excessive underarm sweating) which has been inadequately managed with topical agents. This treatment is advised when medicines used on the skin (topical) do not work well enough in people 18 years and older.

Medical studies and patient testimonials have confirmed that Hyperhidrosis treatment with Botox reduces sweating and improves confidence & lifestyle. Of course, the level of reduction depends on each individual.
